Healing a broken heart

Many patients who came to see me are depressed, helpless, hopeless or trapped in either their job, relationship, or trauma. I tell them an analogy of a broken leg. When their leg is broken and in pain, they may take medication to relieve the pain/symptoms, but ultimately their leg needs physical therapy that involves finding the inner strength hidden in their soul to get up, to move and to heal. Use that medicine to help dull the pain if necessary. Looking back or stopping there will not completely heal their broken leg. Likewise, dwelling in the past or stopping will not heal the broken heart, but it will only delay recovery. Each one of us has the strength to turn the “can’t to can.”

Find a new goal or direction, put your heart and soul and manifest great things in the future. Don’t despair, don’t give up, and keep persevering.

“For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”
