“Do not fear, only believe.” – Mark 5:36
Cambridge Dictionary defines fear as “an unpleasant thought or emotion you have when you are worried that something bad, painful or dangerous that is happening or might happen.”
How often when we wake up in the morning, the first thing that came to our mind is, “oh, no, I hope today is not going to be as bad as yesterday, or oh no, I hope I don’t have a shitty day today. “
We saved that tiny seed of thought something terrible will
happen in the small space of our brain. We continue our day expecting that something terrible is indeed going to happen. When something did go wrong, we heard voices saying, “See, I knew it!” With every thought of worry or unpleasant emotion or thought, we are sabotaging our days.
Remember that there are two sides to life. With each beginning, there is an ending; with every up, there is down. If we perceive unpleasant experiences as a danger, we will live in fear; if we perceive an unpleasant experience as a small bump in our day, we can say, “dang, you, a minor nuisance, thank you for getting me sidetracked, now go away. The worst has happened; I am going to have a better experience the rest of today.”
Believe that something good is going to happen. Look for the good thing that can happen. Smell that hot coffee in front of you. Taste that delicious lunch you are about to eat. Look for good things about you, your smile, haircut, new shoes, or the fact that you ambulated independently.
Buddha said that your mind will always believe what you tell it. Feed it faith. Feed it truth, feed it goodness. Go about your day feeling refreshed, my friend. Make that little nuisance as a momentum to create a better you!!! Miracle happens when you let go of that fear.
Have a blessed day!
